Quick Overview

The 1987 Pauahi Coin was dedicated to Mrs. Bernice Pauahi Bishop, the founder of The Kamehameha Schools/Bishop Estate who willed her estate for "a school for boys and a school for girls " to teach her native Hawaiian people in the best tradition of the Christian religion. She understood that the salvation of her Hawaiian people would come only through education. OIP for the 1987 Pauahi bronze coin was $15.
